Inktober 2024
In 2024, I themed my Inktober around musical instruments. I chose each instrument on my own and drew them in a pop art kind of style but with colours that still made sense, even if exaggerated. I used sharpie, pencil crayons, pencil for sketches, and my Ohuhu markers. I used many bright colours, trying to avoid grey, and made the line art thin on the inside and thick on the outside to give it more pop. I also drew these splashes and patterns of colour around each instrument which I thought of as a visual representation of what the instrument sounds like (or just what looked cool). I guess my inspiration for this Inktober was my love of music and familiarity with musical instuments.
